Saw a man in the movies that didn't have a heart
How I wish I could give him mine
Then I wouldn't have to feel it breaking all apart
And this emptiness inside would suit me fine

It's times like these
I wish I were the tin man
You could hurt me all you wanted
I'd never even know
I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't need a soul

I couldn't see your leavin' comin'
It took me by surprise
Even now it seems like a dream
But I know I can't be dreamin'
'Cause as I lay down each night
The pain's so great it won't let me sleep

It's times like these
I wish I were the tin man
You could hurt me all you wanted
I'd never even know
Well… I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't need a soul
I'd give anything just to be the tin man
And I wouldn't have a heart and I wouldn't miss you so

He walks into the living room drinking from the glass. The glass had become his close friend and confidant since she died. He pours another drink as he sits down on the couch. He picks up a picture of him and her together. No lights are on except from the glow of the fire place. He gulps the alcohol down in one swallow. "Why did you have to die?" he asks the empty room. Everyone else had been in the kitchen since the funeral.

His head lolls back and forth. The tears start to surface from his eyes but he chokes them back. 'Men don't cry!' he yells at himself. Hannibal had even put his arms around him at the grave side. 'I know you loved her son.' Hannibal's words still echoed in his head. The young man reaches for the remote control and turns on the television. He mutes the sound as the tin man in The Wizard of Oz begins to sing. He mutes the sound as the tin man begins to sing. He reaches over and turns on the radio. The soft sound of Kenny Chesney fills the chilly Langley air.

Frankie Santana looks at the television screen and says, "I know how you feel, pal." he says as he downs the remainder of his drink.

"Why didn't I see it coming? I was a fool to think you could ever love me?!?!?!?!" Frankie berates himself as he looks at the picture of him and Rosita together.

Tears fall from his eyes. "Why did you have to die?" Frankie asks clutching the picture to his chest. "Why couldn't I have taken the bullet?" Frankie pauses as he realizes why Rosita jumped in front of him. "That bullet was mean for me, wasn't it?" he asks the picture of Rosita.

A soft breeze blows through the living room. "Frankie….." He jumps out of his chair. "Who's there?" he asks. "I love you." the breeze ends just as quickly as it began. "Maybe it was the wind." he reasons with himself. He pours another drink. "I love you Rosita." Frankie says as he turns the volume up on the television and resumes watching the movie knowing that Rosita will be in his heart forever.
